The Handgun Fundamentals course will cover basic firearm safety, fundamentals of pistol shooting, concealed carry and maintenance. Conceal with Confidence is designed to improve shooting skills and challenge the student. The class will begin with a brief refresher on firearms safety, and fundamentals of pistol marksmanship. Throughout the day, the course will progress to weapons handling, movement drills, engaging multiple targets, shooting positions and the use of barrels and cover. This course is considered dynamic, physically demanding and will culminate with a stress shoot at the end of the day.
Each day these courses require a pistol, 3 magazines, a holster, a minimum of 300 rounds of ammunition, eye and ear protection, comfortable clothing (which includes range appropriate clothing, closed toed shoes, and a sturdy belt to hook your holster onto), sunscreen, bug spray and water. This class happens rain or shine, so bring a raincoat in case. Bring snacks, drinks, and lunch (will break for lunch).
